Wishing everyone here a happy Easter...ppl may b curious what a leechie has been up to this Easter weekend...i didnt go for a short trip...didnt attend any happening party...didn't attend the Michael Kors party even though i was invited...little bit of regrets that i missed out on such a happening event when i saw the pics frenz took o.O i stayed in to finish reading this book which a friend lent me: "You Can Win" by Shiv somthg...to b honest, it has been donkey moons since i last finished reading a book...ya, i have many of Joey Yap's fengshui books...but i dont rem reading them from cover to cover...oops, sorry Joey...they r still somewhere in my room...still in brand new condition...many with Joey's autographs on them...lol...Joey's such a prolific writer that i will have more new books to add to my Joey Yap collection each year...

There r many concepts in this book which might been covered in some other motivational/ self-help books...but reading it refresh n reinforce those ideas...pretty useful =) i took plenty of notes n snapshots of impt pages as i read...btw, i was a good student when i was in sch...(someone juz commented that it's all As on my certs n i was like "Of course!")...

Some interesting concepts from the book:

To want success as badly as air!

If u darent try anythg for fear of failure n think u havent fail cos u didnt do anythg...u have failed

Fren revealed the secret after i rushed to finish this book...u can google the title n download the PDF version...guess i wouldnt have finished reading this book if i knew there's a pdf version avail...that's juz me...i dont read most of the books i bot...there was a period of time when i tried to hang out at bookstores to force myself to read...

Frenz started asking me abt the title of this book after i posted up this snapshot of a page from the book...

Som ppl only know how to laugh at others' expense n to derive laughter from others' misery...but they dont see this irony...i will always rem the kindness that some frenz have shown me...ppl usually only rem how u make them feel...i'm a simple person...if u r nice to me, i'll b nicer to u...

Those uncles who love to wear v.tight-fitting tees to show off the biceps n pecs might not b aware that the beer belly is a more prominent sight? this ab-hancer shld go well with those tight fitting tees ya ;p

HEAR WHAT OPRAH WINFREY HAD TO SAY ABOUT MEN

"HEAR WHAT OPRAH WINFREY HAD TO
SAY ABOUT MEN :

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.

Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be. Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy. If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends". A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.

Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don't stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better. The only person you can control in a relationship is you. Avoid men who have a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently? Always have your own set of friends separate from his. Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up. Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.

You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within. Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are. Even if he has has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.

Never let a man define who you are. Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you. A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you. All men are NOT dogs.

You should not be the one doing all the bending... Compromise is two way street. You need time to heal between relationships. There is nothing cute about baggage... Deal with your issues before pursuing a new
relationship. You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you. A relationship consists of two WHOLE
individuals. Look for someone complimentary...
not supplementary.

Dating is fun... Even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right. Make him miss you sometimes... When a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him ~ he takes it for granted. Never move into his mother's house. Never co-sign for a man. Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others.

Scared of being alone is what makes a lot of women stay in relationships that are abusive or hurtful: Dr. Phil says... You should know that: You're the best thing that could ever happen to anyone and if a man mistreats you, he'll miss out on a good thing. If he was attracted to you in the 1st place, just know that he's not the only one. They're all watching you, so you have a lot of choices. Make the right one. Ladies take care of your own hearts... ❤"

My haul from the recent Loreal sales...i love Keratase n Redken ;p my leechie mum asked me y do i need to use top of the range salon brands when others only use mass mkt brands? =.=

Joey Yap's Water FengShui for Wealth Workshop

Rushed over to Joey Yap's water FengShui for wealth workshop directly after work. Joey was saying that there r usually many ppl attending his FengShui seminars whenever the subject is on wealth. Lol. He started by giving a brief background on the history of FengShui in his usual humorous manner. Lol

One of the billionaires that Joey knows says that every rich person he knows uses FengShui! Joey owns 55 properties at the age of 35 n I'm not referring to properties from the monopoly game. Lol. If I wanna learn FengShui, I might as well learn from someone who has achieved success with the aid of FengShui rather than some soothsayer who could still be struggling with life's demands. Joey says "U cannot make someone rich when u r not rich!" N "no one needs to b rich! It's a choice!"

Well, I learnt today that forms supersedes formulas. There muz b flow present in the v. First place, n it muz b sentimental n we have to receive it! JuZ look at the homes of the rich n famous in sg, they all receive chi from their environment. There is no need to believe in FengShui cos its not a religion. It's a matter of recognition n whether one has it or not. FengShui deals with opportunity n environment. Bazi maximizes one's ability n what one needs to do to stay rich.

This 2 hours workshop is too short for him to finish everything in his notes...hope he can cover the rest of the formulas n methods in his other seminars...I showed Joey the drawing of my home environment. I have questions mah. Then I started to but but but...he asks y I have so many buts n says he will Kok my Leechie head if I but some more. Lol...he's juz being Joey...lol...

Millionaire Asia (March Issue)
================================

"Don't abdicate your power, Be in control of your life."
Date : 1 Mar 2013
by Grace Lai

Joey Yap believes that everybody can be successful. "Every single one of them can be successful. I don't think anyone is born to be poor, suffer and live in misery. It's up to you to live your life. You decide whether you want to change your life," he asserted. This man, who at the very young age of 26 became a self-made millionaire, believes that success is not what you have. It is, in his words, "who you become". "Be a better vision of yourself. Don't be trapped by your destiny," he added.

His feats run a mile long and celebrated as he is, there is no need for a repeat of his resume. One thing he is very clear on is that he does not predict the future. "I am not a fortune teller. This subject has always been shrouded in mystery when in fact it's very basic and not as complicated as people think. I look at charts, at a person's destiny and find the options that allow that person to be the most successful he or she can be. In consultations, I tell you your option and show you the path. It is then up to you to take the steps and follow the path to your success."

Debunking "fortune telling"
"Predicting the future is divination. We don't do that. We make an intelligent decision based on options we look for from a person's "Ba Zi" (Ba Zi, 八字, Eight Characters, is a sophisticated art based largely on the Chinese five-element theory, allowing one to investigate the potential and mysteries of a person's life using his or her birth data) and charts. It's about life transformation and looking for the key to change in one's life," Joey shared. Taking MillionaireAsia's ultra high net worth readers as an example, Joey said, "Wealthy people are very often successful. Why? It's because they make sure that all risks are taken into consideration and calculated. That's what we do. We calculate risks and present the best option suitable for a specific individual at that specific time. People think that this is a very special field; they think it's difficult to learn. It's exactly the same as any other."

"Talents are gifts and they can be discovered early in life or later in life. It requires training, honing, improving and transferring. It's about discovery and development. To become good at Feng Shui is not about talent. It's about interest and the purpose of that interest. Some people are just intrigued in Feng Shui. My interest in it was a life transformation. I wanted to use it as a tool to transform lives and make a difference."

Joey admits that his parents were not too keen on his choice of career initially. "Like any parents, mine did not start off supporting my decision. The reason being their perception of Feng Shui. They believed that this was not a professional or respectable field and did not want me associated with such a field."

Success and achieving it
"Everybody wants to be successful. They all want to be rich, have a good figure or be healthy, but they do not and often, are not, willing to do what it takes to be that. People say that to succeed, all it takes is passion in what you do, but I beg to differ. It's about cause and effect. You see, whatever we are good at in life, we are bound to be passionate about. If you are runninga successful business or doing what you excel in, you are bound to be passionate about it! So they key is to first be good at what you do. Then you will be passionate in doing it!" Joey put it to me.

"People are in love with the effect, but not the cause. The cause the most important part-are the tools required and the skills you need to hone to get what you want. So fall in love with the cause first and the process will lead to results," he stressed. This is a man who strongly believes that "passion is created and not found."

A sage for his young age (Joey is 36 this year), Joey went on to share a profound example. "Human beings are the only living beings that do not always reach their full potential. Take for example a tree. How tall is it grow? As tall as possible right? But not human beings. Often, we fall short of our destinies and stop growing. Growth has to be intentional. It doesn't happen just because you are living. We must have a plan to be a better version of ourselves be a better character. Being busy does not equate to growing."

"My fulfillment comes when I see lives transformed. When someone who is struggling in what they do and earn, for example, only 3000 a month goes on to be rich and happier from my consultation, I'm happy. Everybody can succeed, it's all about gleaning the useful information from the useless."

On the legacy he wishes to leave behind, Joey opined, "I'm in the business of transforming lives and I hope that's what I do. I also hope that people will remember my teachings. All this time this subject has been hard to understand because information on it is scarce and dispersed. Those who mastered it were either unwilling to share what they know or do not teach it well. It has been my passion to gather these bits and pieces (Joey is a prolific author) and make the subject available to all. I hope people can study it and transform lives. That is what I want to do so that I can live on through it."

"Talent and genius can not take the place of persistence. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful individuals with talent. The world is already full of unrewarded geniuses." ~ Joey Yap

"'I think the trick is really to think long-term. You may not have a lot of money, but you have a lot of time." ~ Peter Lim

From Jenny:

"Our thoughts control our actions and behaviour, and they in turn dictate the tenor of our life. So if we intend to change our life for the better, it makes sense to start with our thoughts.

It's ironic how we often don't think about what we think about... But more than 50,000 thoughts run through our mind each day, get stored in our brain and can turn into hardened attitudes and mindsets about ourselves and the world around us.

Results come about only through action, and our thoughts determine the types of actions we take, so focus your thoughts. Think about what you want to achieve today. What do you want to achieve tomorrow? What do you want to achieve in a year?

Most of us have the tendency to focus on the cracks in our lives, and we often find what we're looking for, so instead of looking for what's wrong, look for what is right, good, and desirable in you and the world around you, and you're more likely to get what you want.

Take the standing broad jump station in your IPPT, for example. If you look down at your shoes, you probably won't get very far. But if you keep your eye on hitting your target distance, and take that leap, you'll probably get there.

Goals, even small goals, keep you going. So look for areas in your life you want to improve - your health, your job, your body, your relationships, your knowledge. And deliberately program your mind using persistent reinforcement, also known as affirmations.

We all suffer setbacks, but it's how we respond to them that makes all the difference. It determines whether we grow or become diminished. So focus on the next thing... how are you going to make it better? How are you going to do it right?"

"I'm held up by the very sticks u used to beat me down" ~ a v.meaningful quote that i saw at Aware Charity Art Fair...i believe in Karma...n Karma wears heels!
